Come Join Your Parish Family

The day we’ve been waiting for is almost here!  Covid restrictions are being lifted effective the weekend of June 12/13.  After more than 15 months of dreary isolation we’ll be able to again gather with our church family as a community of believers!  Our patience has been rewarded, as David wrote:

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. (psalm 40)

Throughout the pandemic we never lost faith that this day would come as we worked to stay connected through the recorded Mass and through the web site, the app, our Facebook page, the U.S. mail and recorded telephone calls.  But there is nothing that equals the joy of physically coming together as the body of Christ, uniting in one powerful voice as we pray Holy, Holy, Holy!

Several things have been planned to mark this special “Family Reunion Weekend.”
On Saturday, June 12th, we will have refreshments after the 4:00pm Mass at St. Joe.  If the St. Joe Mass is your choice, please plan to stay after for a bit to enjoy some homemade treats and get reacquainted with your church family!

On Sunday morning, June 13th, we will serve a light breakfast in the cafeteria at the Saint Anthony campus from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.  Another reunion opportunity with your church family!  In addition, there will be children’s activities – among them a visit to the Wildflower Garden/Pollinator Park to explore the different wildflowers blooming there and to walk the labyrinth and the Way of the Cross (an experience many adults will enjoy as well!) The Lord has indeed turned his face upon us.  Come join your family in joy and fellowship at our long-awaited family reunion
