Eucharistic Reflections

Reflections from Fatima

  • Why is it important to you to attend Mass? Attending Mass is like going home to rest and recharge. God creates me to serve others and to bring His messages to everyone I encounter each day. The only way I can do my part well is to prepare my mind and body to the best I can. Attending Mass, learning the liturgy and homily is an important way for me to be closer to God and learn what he wants me to do.
  • What does it mean to you to receive the Eucharist/Body of Christ? Receiving the Body of Christ means that I am willing to open my heart for Jesus to enter. As he enters my heart, he nurtures and protects my heart and soul. He is always with me.
  • How does receiving the Eucharist/Body of Christ help you, change you, challenge you? It helps me to find peace knowing Jesus is within me. This peace gives me strength to explore and make changes to become a better disciple. Receiving the Body of Christ also challenges me to constantly evaluate my own actions if they meet God’s expectation.
  • How is your receiving the Eucharist/Body of Christ reflected in your life, shared with your world? The sense of peace and Holy Spirit I receive through the Body of Christ gives me the strength to be a good listener as a therapist. It also gives me the confidence to speak and teach within the healthcare profession.
  • Other thoughts you’d like to share. The Holy Spirit is always guiding our path in God’s plan. It comes with the Body of Christ. If we allow the Body of Christ to enter our body, we are accepting God’s plan and we should trust him fully. Remember FROG – Fully Rely On God, as a dearest nun taught me.
