St. Vincent de Paul is much more than a patron saint of thrift shops! Young Vincent became a priest hoping to advance and rise above his modest upbringing. His early ambition amounted to little when he was assigned to a poor rural parish. Here he experienced a new joy in his vocation. I am Tina Schutte, a lifelong Catholic and liturgical musician. Being part of a music ministry has been in my family for generations. Both my grandparents sang in the choir at Sacred Heart, my grandfather directed the choir at the Methodist Temple and was an auxiliary cantor at the Jewish synagogue (he was ecumenical long before the Church decided to embrace ecumenism!), my mother began playing the organ at Sacred Heart when she was 16 (when she was recognized for 50 years’ service as the primary organist, she was presented a check for $500 and made the comment that it worked out to $10 a year) and I first played in church at a Friday afternoon Benediction service (I was in the fourth grade and played Tantum Ergo).
I started playing with the Praise Band ensemble one summer Sunday in 2007 when the regular keyboard player didn’t show up. My son, Jon Kern (who plays drums and runs sound) called and asked if I could come play keys for the Praise Mass. I did, and after a short time was asked to lead the ensemble and having been doing so ever since.
It has been my great pleasure to be part of providing this very different style of worship and to work with two very talented and committed ensembles. As far as I know, All Saints is the only parish in the diocese with a regular contemporary worship service and I’m proud to be a part of making that happen. It’s also a lot of fun to have the opportunity to play music with my son, Jon.
I appreciate the support that the worship community and parish leadership have given to the Praise Mass and am honored to serve in this ministry.

Our Community Partner, BRIDGE: Building Respect & Integrity in Diverse Greater Evansville is hosting an event. Check it out!

We at All Saints Catholic Parish want to heartedly thank DOC-Daughters of Charity - Evansville Campus volunteers and staff Britney, Jessica, Greg and Chris for cleaning up around St. Anthony Church on Friday, September 13th .
They made a wonderful impact. The street view of the front of the church is much cleaner due to the great power washing skill of Chris and the sweeping skills of Britney and Jessica. The dirt, grime and leaves are gone. Thanks also for all the cleaning inside the church. They were able to clean the wooden pews, dust the windowsills and radiator tops and mop the vestibule and marble flooring. These are all things that we often set aside for later, so it was good for them to be addressed. We very much appreciate the time they took to give back to the community.

When dropping items off at the clothes closet please don’t leave items unattended outside the door. Our staff is happy to assist you, ring the bell for our office and we will come down to assist you with your donations.
The clothes closet does not accept toys, books, baskets etc.
The clothes closet does accept clothing for men and women, shoes, towels, sheets blankets, sleeping bags, purses, duffel bags, backpacks, shampoo, razors, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, belts.
