Today marks a special day in the Church as Christ establishes the Church’s mission and purpose and calls his disciples, then and now, to the work of accomplishing that mission. And what ultimately is that mission and purpose? To bring all things together in Christ. All that ever was, is, or shall be and all times and seasons find their fulfillment in Christ. To be in Christ is the goal of all creation. All of this begins with baptism and the realization that Christ is present with us, risen and glorified, always. If we approach Christ’s fullness with faith, then the eyes of our hearts can be enlightened, and we can begin to see the greater truth of who we are and what creation is meant to be. Christ is really and truly far above all things and the beginning and end of all things. Understanding ourselves in this way really changes up the meaning of life.

VIVIR LA LITURGIA ~ INSPIRACIÓN DE LA SEMANA

Hoy se celebra un día especial en la Iglesia cuando Cristo establece la misión y el propósito de la Iglesia y llama a sus discípulos, entonces y ahora, a la tarea de cumplir esa misión. ¿Y cuál es, ultimadamente, esa misión y propósito? Unir todas las cosas en Cristo. Todo lo que alguna vez fue, es o será, y todos los tiempos y estaciones encuentran su cumplimiento en Cristo. Estar en Cristo es la meta de toda la creación. Todo esto comienza con el bautismo y la comprensión de que Cristo está presente con nosotros, resucitado y glorificado, siempre. Si nos acercamos a la plenitud de Cristo con fe, entonces los ojos de nuestros corazones pueden iluminarse, y podemos comenzar a ver la verdad más grande de quiénes somos y de lo que la creación debe ser. Cristo está verdaderamente muy por encima de todas las cosas y el principio y el fin de todas las cosas. Comprendernos de esta manera realmente cambia el sentido de la vida.
