Live the Liturgy ~ Inspiration for the Week

God never ceases to proclaim His Word. His life-giving presence continues to sustain all things and keep them in being regardless of whether there is the faith to receive or perceive Him. Our personal agendas, preconceived ideas, misconceptions, and expectations can often cause us to be so hard of heart and obstinate that we fail to see what God is trying to do. While God remains ever present, faith is necessary for God’s power to bear fruit. As we celebrate our country’s independence, let us not forget the difference between liberties and freedom. While the liberties we have are most welcome treasures, only freedom from what blinds, deceives, and weighs us down can bring happiness. God is all about healing, transformation, and hope. In order for God to do what God does best, we have to invite Him in and see Him for who he is. Otherwise, God’s will for humanity will be something at which we simply take offense, a common reaction when something challenges or unsettles us.

VIVIR LA LITURGIA ~ INSPIRACIÓN DE LA SEMANA (Live the Liturgy)

Dios nunca deja de proclamar Su Palabra. Su presencia vivificante continúa sustentando todas las cosas y manteniéndolas en existencia sin importar si existe la fe para recibirlo o percibirlo. Nuestras agendas personales, ideas preconcebidas, conceptos erróneos y expectativas a menudo pueden hacer que seamos tan duros de corazón y obstinados que no podamos ver lo que Dios está tratando de hacer. Mientras Dios permanece siempre presente, la fe es necesaria para que el poder de Dios dé fruto. Al celebrar la independencia de nuestro país, no olvidemos la diferencia entre libertades y libertad. Si bien las libertades que tenemos son tesoros bienvenidos, solo la libertad de lo que nos ciega, engaña y agobia puede traer felicidad. Dios tiene que ver con la curación, la transformación y la esperanza. Para que Dios haga lo que Dios hace mejor, tenemos que invitarlo a entrar y verlo como es. De lo contrario, la voluntad de Dios para la humanidad será algo de lo que simplemente nos ofendemos, una reacción común cuando algo nos desafía o inquieta.
