Inspiration for the Week
If we believe that we are in a covenant relationship with God, then we must also accept having a covenant relationship with our brothers and sisters, especially the poor, weak, and powerless. We cannot be in the business of protecting our own self-interest while overlooking the plight of the less fortunate and those who are struggling.
