Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness Week

From July 25–31, the Church in the United States observes National Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness Week. The dates highlight the anniversary of the papal encyclical Humanae vitae (July 25)—which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love, and responsible parenthood—and encompasses the feast of Saints Joachim and Anne (July 26). NFP can sometimes help couples struggling with infertility to conceive a child. Married Couples, Engaged Couples, Youth Groups, Young Adults, Parish and School Leaders can learn more about NFP by contacting the Office of Family & Life at egirten@evdio.org; by contacting the Holy Family Center for Life at HFCLsignup@gmail.com or by going to http://www.evdio.org/natural-family-planning.html or usccb.org/nfp.
