September 29, 2019 ~ Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

This week’s Gospel is crystal clear.

We are to care for the poor, needy, outcast, marginalized, ostracized.
We who want to get to heaven, must help the poor.

Matthew 25:31-46
Jesus let’s us know again who we are to help and how.

Go home and calculate how much you give to the poor in a year.

Jesus tells us several times in the Gospel that we are to care for the poor.

In a sense everyone is poor…illness, sickness, fear, etc. Our own poverty should cause us to reach out to others.

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta,
“There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread. “
