Disciples on a Journey

July 10, 2024

Thank you for your understanding and patience!
For those of you who were at 10:30 am or 5 pm Mass on Sunday, July 7th you experienced the consequences of the Fourth of July storms at St. Anthony Church.
On Friday, July 5th, we began to see the results of the storms. The internet was out in the church and rectory. The phones were out in the rectory. The card reader/fob system at the office was hit. On Sunday, we discovered that the audio system was hit in church. None of the microphones or speakers worked. The fire alarm box was fried. The computer in the choir loft wouldn’t talk with the cameras and video screens. We found some more areas in the electronics that are not working when Jon began setting up temporary speakers for us. So, one piece of equipment must be sent off for diagnostics. The insurance company and diocese have been notified.
As of 4:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon, the next round of storms can be heard in the distance. We have temporary speakers set up in the front of the church. They are stronger than the speakers last week, however the farther back in church you sit, the less you will be able to hear and understand what is being said in the microphones. The video screens may not work, but we should be able to livestream on Sunday. Again, thank you for your patience!
I am very grateful for our team here at All Saints! Everyone has been involved as we continue to work with the outages.
We’ll see you in the front of church on Sunday!
