Eucharistic Reflections

September 1, 2022

From a member of the parish…

As part of our participation in the Renewal, I will be sharing responses from members of the parish. I hope you will enjoy reading their thoughts, be encouraged by their thoughts, and be challenged to look at how you see and live the Eucharist as part of your life.

1. Why is it important to you to attend Mass?
I feel spiritually refreshed and a sense of peace when offering up my worries, doubts, and prayers of thanksgiving.

2. What does it mean to you to receive the Eucharist/Body of Christ?
It means that I am a disciple of Jesus. I’m called to love my neighbor as myself. I’m to be giving of my gifts to help
anyone who needs help.

3. How does receiving the Eucharist/Body of Christ help you, change you, challenge you?
Receiving the Eucharist helps me to be Christ like to others. I may not always recognize a change, but there have
been little moments during a week when I stop to reflect and then it hits me what happened. The challenge is to
be truly in the moments of grace and then act as if Christ was present.

4. How is your receiving the Eucharist/Body of Christ reflected in your life, shared with your world?
Praying as a family as we sit down to eat dinner at the kitchen table.
