LIVE THE LITURGY – INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK

Life can leave us feeling very distracted and detached. Perhaps this is why many people seek things that make them “feel good,” wrongly believing those things actually provide a sense of meaning and purpose. In truth, they are simply more distractions. When we discover real silence, we can realize that the stirrings and impulses in our hearts desiring connection, meaning, and purpose are really God desperately trying to pull us toward His Divine Heart. Once we submit to God’s pull, we are led to the beauty of God’s presence. This holy presence carries us to the heights of mountains, the vastness of ocean depths, the beginning of things and their end, and the majesty of universal wonder. We meet the Father. Then, gently carried to the tenderness of compassion, love, mercy, and forgiveness we touch the innocence and vulnerability of life. We see the poor and those who are broken. We meet the Son. Finally, we are directed toward the seasons that change, the ebb and flow of life, the inspirations that surprise, and the wonder, awe, and joy of life. We embrace the Holy Spirit. ©LPi

VIVIR LA LITURGIA – INSPIRACIÓN DE LA SEMANA (Live the Liturgy)

La vida puede hacernos sentir muy distraídos y desapegados. Quizás es por eso que muchas personas buscan cosas que les hagan “sentirse bien”, creyendo erróneamente que esas cosas en realidad les brindan un sentido y propósito. En verdad, son simplemente más distracciones. Cuando descubrimos el verdadero silencio, podemos darnos cuenta de que las conmociones e impulsos en nuestros corazones que desean conexión, significado y propósito son realmente Dios tratando desesperadamente de atraernos hacia Su Corazón Divino. Una vez que nos sometemos a la atracción de Dios, somos guiados a la belleza de la presencia de Dios. Esta santa presencia nos lleva a las alturas de las montañas, la inmensidad de las profundidades del océano, el comienzo y el final de las cosas, y la majestad de la maravilla universal. Conocemos al Padre. Luego, llevados suavemente a la ternura de la compasión, el amor, la misericordia y el perdón, tocamos la inocencia y la vulnerabilidad de la vida. Vemos a los pobres y a los quebrantados. Conocemos al Hijo. Finalmente, nos dirigimos hacia las estaciones que cambian, el menguar y fluir de la vida, las inspiraciones que sorprenden y la maravilla, el asombro y el gozo de la vida.
