Bread of Life

John 6:24-35

This week Jesus makes the connection between food and doing the work of God. Like our bodies, our souls require spiritual food and energy to do the work that God asks us to do and our souls are nourished by prayer, reflection on God’s word, service, and the Eucharist. Nourished by this grace all things become possible. Without it our efforts amount to little of consequence. We need Jesus to be the true food, the “Bread of Life”.
