Oct. 16, Luke 18:1-8 The Answer to My Prayers

At times it can feel like God is like the judge in today’s Gospel. The widow wears down this callous judge who just as well would prefer to ignore her, yet, because of her persistence, he eventually responds to her need. Like that widow, we can be asking God over and over again but seemingly we get no answers. It might even feel like He’s not listening. Jesus’ challenge to us is can we muster the faith to believe that God cares deeply and, when that moment does arrive with His answer, will we have the faith to see it.
