Aug. 7 Luke 12: 32-48 The Kingdom of God

In our Gospel this week, Jesus assures us that the Kingdom of God is a gift to us, but then he follows it with harsh teaching on what will happen if we are poor servants in that Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is simply that place and space where true peace reigns and where people are treated with fairness. Obviously, our world is not that, but is it possible that in our corner of the world, All Saints, all will be received with love, care, and dignity. To achieve that we must love as Jesus loved and if we love as Jesus loved, the Kingdom of God is here and we are faithful servants in that Kingdom.
