Fear and Doubt
April 16, John 20:19-31
In our Gospel this Sunday, Jesus appears to his disciples in the locked room. He takes head on the two great forces that endanger our faith – fear and doubt. To the first, he assures us peace by His presence. To the second, he invites Thomas to faith by inviting him to touch His wounds. Maybe Jesus is saying to us that whenever we draw close to another’s pain and brokenness with love, there you will find presence of God.
