Divine Empowerment
May 21, Mat. 28:16-20
The celebration of Ascension is about empowerment. Jesus passes the baton to us to continue and complete His mission, but not by our own power and wits. Jesus ascends so that the Holy Spirit descends.
For those who believe and tune in, the Holy Spirit is that continued God presence and power for all time. So, it is not about self-empowerment. It is God power that we focus upon. It is not self-confidence we seek. It is God-confidence.
