Fullness of Life
July 2, Mat. 10:37-42
Jesus challenges His disciples to make God and discipleship the highest priority in our lives. It ranks even above family. He sets the bar high, but he knows human nature will always look to compromise the message. Like for instance, He encourages us to give it all away and we make the compromise of giving 10%.
He says love our enemies and the compromise for us is well we’ll avoid them in the future. The wisdom he offers us is that the more we give our lives away, the greater the life we will enjoy. We need to continue to strive to reach the high bar.
