Divine Love

John 15:9-17

Love has always carried many levels of meaning. In Greek, there are actually four words for love. Jesus again encourages us this week to remain in His love. Jesus is talking about love of another order – divine love. When we reside in divine love, we see the world and others as God sees. God’s love for what He has created especially human beings is beyond any measure. All we can do is stand in awe and wonder and receive. And then in our very human, flawed way, emulate and practice that love which will raise us up beyond the human and mortal to the divine level.
