The Assumption: A Sign of Hope

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary August 15 is NOT a holy day of obligation this year since it falls on a Monday. We WILL have a Mass for the Solemnity on Monday, August 15 at 5:30 pm at St. Anthony Church. Join us as we celebrate Mary’s being taken into heaven.   

Today, we celebrate that Mary is enjoying what we, too, hope to participate in — complete joy in heaven with our God, experienced body and soul. Today and every day, let’s pray for those who have died and that we may meet them again in the heavenly kingdom. ©LPi
