Evansville becoming more Earth friendly
For a long time, too much raw sewage was being released into the Ohio River and Pigeon Creek during significant rainstorms. Evansville has taken an innovative “green” approach to this problem and one part of the solution has been the transformation of Bee Slough into a wetland that treats storm water in a natural and Earth friendly way.
Water and Sewer Executive Director, Lane Young, and Wayne Montgomery, EWSU Capital Projects Manager, will explain this project as well as other green efforts in a presentation on Wed., July 26, 6:30 pm, at the downtown public library in Browning Rm B. All are welcome.
This event is hosted by Tri-State Creation Care.
