Howell Wetland Tour

Sts. Mary and John Catholic Parish Creation Care team has organized a tour and presentation of the Howell Wetlands next Monday, August 19 by Amy Rhodes, Purdue Agriculture and Natural Resource Educator.  They want to extend an invitation to all to join them.  The wetlands are located at 1400 S Tekoppel Ave.  Presentation begins at 6 pm and there is no cost.

Howell Wetlands, once thought of as a wasteland, is now treasured and celebrated as one of only five urban wetland parks in Indiana. Join Purdue Extension’s Amy Rhodes for a presentation and short walking tour of Howell Wetlands to learn about its interesting history, diverse habitats, and the importance of preserving and protecting wetlands.
