Saints to Know

St. Andrew, whose feast we celebrate today, may not be the most important of the apostles–that title would probably go to his brother, St. Peter.

But in John’s Gospel account, Andrew was the first called by Christ, and, in turn, told his brother that he had found the Christ. St. Andrew can continue playing this role in our lives today, always helping to “introduce” us to Jesus. St. Andrew, the first to be called, pray for us!
