A few weeks ago a mother called needing 3 twin beds for boys 6 and 8 and for a teenage daughter. We told her we could financially assist with only one twin bed, but shared with her about the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Program which is a National Organization of volunteers that build
beds in the home so that every child in America has a bed. The mother wanted them to come to the home right away to build the beds.

A St. Vincent de Paul member made a home visit to make sure there was adequate space to build the beds and three weeks later several men built bunk beds for the boys and a bed for the daughter. The mother called saying the boys keep hugging their bed and her daughter is overjoyed to be off the floor. They were overwhelmed to be supplied with mattresses, pillows, sheets, blankets, bedspreads etc. We love hearing such happy results and without your generous donations to SVdP, stories like this would never happen.
